I support this petition. He deserves for giving it his all every time he fought. He made people care about the sport and when he was on the card, he made you care about his fight whether or not it was the main event.
I think although Evan's contributions to MMA came at a later stage than the current members of the UFC Hall Of Fame, by being the third (and first of the new era) UFC Middleweight Champion, in addition to having a storied eleven year MMA career, nine of which were in the UFC, should cement his legacy in the panels of the UFC Hall Of Fame. Now that his untimely death has put an end to his MMA career, it is my hope that he gets inducted to the UFC Hall Of Fame.
I support this petition. With almost 20 fights in the UFC and winning the middle weight title... his accomplishments speak for themselves. Without a doubt, I know the UFC will do the right thing...
I support this petition. Evan Tanner was a warrior and an all around good soul. There is no better way to honor him than to induct him into the UFC HoF.
I think he Evan belonged in the Hall Of Fame for a long time, for his excellent service in the UFC, leading the way for many who have stumbled in life - But most of all, that everything he did showed his true warrior spirit - Arguably more than anyone else in the UFC. Champion at one point, lost several fights, but ALWAYS remained a champion & warrior!!
