discuss in forums Declawing cats should be illegal. How would you like it if you were forced to go to the doctor and have them cut off your toes and fingers? It's disgusting and just thinking about it makes me want to cry. No cat should be put under such torture. Thankfully, some countries have gotten the message that declawing is cruel and inhumane.

There are many wonderful nonsurgical alternatives for such people who can't be so put upon to deal with a cat clawing.

68 James Fernella I don't support this petition. I had a stray which I took in, but this cat was antisocial, and evil towards humans. He would swat at people who would give him attention, and was strong. This cat would have been sent to the humane society had he not been declawed, and certainly no one would adopt him from there. Instead, being declawed allowed him to live a normal, well tempered and cared for life.
