Doesn't anybody remember this show?? It was one of those educational shows that aired a long time ago. It was on CBS. It had cartoons from API, Hanna Barbera Australia, and Southern Star.

I remember one cartoon called "Gulliver's Travels" It starred Ross Martin as Lemuel Gulliver and was directed by Chris Cuddington. It was released in 1979, 40 years after the dumb version was released. Gulliver's Travels 1979 was much better, and it followed the book, not Snow White. This is a great cartoon, but my tape broke, and it is literally impossible to get a new one, since the unusual popularity of the 1939 makes it even more difficult to find. I can't believe that there are movies that are being described as the Famous Classic Tales cartoon but it turns out to be the one made in 1939. There are records of its existance on Rotten Tomatoes, Toonarific, and the one on BCDB says that Gulliver's Travels 1979, as well as other cartoons that were made in Australia, were aired on CBS Famous Classic Tales Series.

The sad thing about that is that that is the only record of its existance, and there are nothing that mentions it online. There wasn't even an episode listing until I submitted it on TV Rage.

I think that this show should get more attention, such as more listings on websites, and it should air on TV more, and sould come out on DVD and video or whatever they have now, and hopefully when they release the DVDs, this petition will show them the need to keep releasing more and more of these cartoons.

I remember these tales and they added to my reading skills. I miss them and I think today's kids would greatly benefit from these animations.
