May the people behind this bill stay just and honest to honor the Filipino people in the country's quest for a better future. I, together with my family, support this bill of the Sen. Roxas. That, in time, we, and all the Filipino families, will have the desire to embrace the country as their mother and not seek refuge to other country for better and greener pastures.
here's a funny thing about our situation.it's the public officers who are ruining our country with corruption, but when the time comes that Phil will become a major mess they will be the 1st one to leave the country. So who would be left to clean up the mess they created?maybe there should also be a bill prohibiting public officers from leaving the country??? =)
Suggest to expedite this things up before all our will be lost... The Congress and the Senate should pass this bill... and it must not just up to that... IT MUST BE IMPLEMENTED ON ALL LEVELS... FROM BOTTOM TO TOP... THROUGHOUT...
Suggest these bills should include elected & appointed officials/directors of local Electric & Water Cooperatives & perhaps those working under elected officials...
check on the corruption done by Lending Institutions like the World Bank,ADB and IMF prescriptions. They have funded many corrupt infrastructures like the BNPP and San Roque Dam
bakit naman kasi corrupt mga Filipinios at the first place? dahil kina Marcos?
anyway tama ang iba, if this bill were to be put into legislative debates, dishonest officials would surely block the bill, saying it would be unfair, and, a violation of privacy rights.
bahala na si batman.
We really need to give our all out support for the struggle against corruption. These bills are mere steps towards this accomplishing this difficult goal.
Only corrupt lawmakers will block this Bill... This is another arsenal that will help boost the efforts to eradicate corruption... All out ang support ko sa Bill na 'to!!!
We have existing laws to fight corruption in the bureaucracy. ENFORCEMENT is the problem. The Philippine political leaderships (Executive and Legislative) have no guts and political will to fight corruption. They just are doing lip service without concrete action. Maybe they are part of the problem. Filipino citizens should do their part to eradicate graft and corruption practices.
These bills are the first steps. However, there is hoophole that passage of Bill No. 1760 may not be as effective. What happens if the public official refuses to to allow his bank accounts opened for reason of "confidentiality" or whatever legal evasive reason he has. Second, we all know that these corrupt officials deposit their illegal wealth in foreign banks. How can we trace or retrieve this money? Probably these bills would only be an exercise in futility.
All Filipinos must unite against the seemingly incurable disease of our country - CORRUPTION IN THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT. GMA is not the answer to our problem, it's the will of the Filipino People to wake up and fight corruption very very seriously.
there are several ways of helping our country progress. definitely corruption is NOT one. perhaps, it is TIME to seriously maximize the tapping of resources which our counrty has been abundantly blessed with. RECHANNEL interests and diversify for the GOOD of our NATION. Afterall, this is what our Government Officials have VOWED to to. Thank you so much. I pray for our country and our people... but most of all I pray for all our Leaders that they may uphold their INTEGRITY for the good of our Republic.
This bill is good. However, there are a lot of loop holes that need to be fix before it pass. Specifically: Section 8 Statement of Disclosure- need stronger word and specific to replace "have an obligation to accomplish and submit declarations" to like: public officials and employees must complete a thorough and comprehensive declarations under oath of; ..including those of their spouses and of unmarried and married children regardless of age. also delete "if possible" "children under 18 years of age" These are loopholes that could make this bill very weak. Reason: what if the corrupt create dummy corporate entity own or controlled by their married children over the age of 18; "if possible" what if the corrupt get creative to circumvent this bill by declaring "it is not possible" because of so many ambiguous reasons, not to say they're able to hire the best liar/lawyer?
I will sign this petition since I agree that corruption should be curbed. I only have a comment on the line '. . .with the latter's (public oficers) written consent. .' I am not familiar with the law, pero pwede ba na even without consent?
It is now the time to put in Jail those people who involve in corruption. Especially Gen Garcia who owe to the Filipino People and to our country. Give them one example and we will believe that the government is fair. It is hard and a big sacrifice to us, the OFW to work and separate with our family. If we can have a power to bring our family here in abroad i will do it, coz our country is useless and our government is the most corruption in the whole world not the 3rd but the most corruption. Give us an example, put those people in jail and i will believe that this bill is true.
We are all guilty at one point or another of allowing this but everyone should be given the chance to redeem themselves and do their share to promise a brighter future
this is long overdue. hope & pray it will finally be materialized & implemented in all government offices, state colleges & universities, government-controlled corporations, & the likes.
We need to expedite this bill. The rate of deterioration of our beloved country due to corruption is as fast as the development of our neighboring countries. Our systems seemed not working any more. We need to empower our people thru this bill.
This bill is very timely considering the apparent and blatant behavior of the majority of government officials. I cannot fathom how one general could be so numbed about the flight of our foot soldiers sacrificing their lives on the forefront while their superiors live in luxury through sallied means!
I support Mar Roxas on this particular bill for eradicating graft and corruption in the government. A standard of righteousness must be in place and observed for the Philippines to have integrity as a nation. Integrity is one foundation for genuine progress.
Let's put an end to this integrity crisis in our country once and for all. For this I demand that the Bill Nos. 1760 & 1761 be passed.
I'll give my 105% support for this Bill and I will ask others to support it as well (thier names will not be included on the list due to internet incapability in provinces). It's about time to move for change. "PAGBABAGO! BANGON PILIPINAS"
With this Bill, the country is in the right direction for a good start. Otherwise, it's one step forward, 3 steps backward pandango oncemore. Mabuhay si Se. Roxas
It is high time we change the modus operandi of this country. 50% of our national budget is lost to corruption, its time to bring it to 0% GOD bless the Philippines
I agree to the urgency of these bills. I hope that our legislators will rise to the occasion and pass these bills ASAP. Public service is fast losing its lustre and credibility among our people. It is unfair to many dedicated public servants that our people tend to lump them together with the few who have really abused public trust for their own selfish ends. Please do not debate these bills to death. Pass them and see to their immmediate implementation for the sake of our collective credibility as a nation and as people. God bless!
I do strongly believe and agree that this bill will prosecute and apprehend the corrupt and parasite individuals in our government. I do hope that this will be the solution for our deing nation.God Bless You All
As a tax payer and cannot anymore swallow the worsening corruption in all offices of the gov't., I demand that the senate bill proposed by Sen/Roxaz be passed. I demand too that all the heads of departments inclucing the Chiefs of the Bureau of Corrections, Jail Management and Penology and all other agencies be investigated as soon as [possible before they can successfully bring out their loot from the country.
As a member of TALSIK and other anti-corruption groups and as the Secretary General of Brotherhood of Destiny (BROOD) I support this petition. Let us make the Philippines corruption free!
The systemic corruption is sucking our people dry. If we want this democracy to work, it's time for change to come from each of us. Unless we realize the resposibility that comes along with this freedom and WILL ourselves to crush small forms of corruption and cheating that starts inside our very homes, schools and workplace then perhaps we are fighting a losing battle. Hope is within us... Crush systemic corruption!! Mabuhay ka Juan dela Cruz!!
