The Fight for Danny Phantom
Published January 25, 2006
To Whom It May Concern:

Over the years, Nickelodeon has produced dozens of amazing shows, specifically cartoons. Most of those shows were loved and supported with a loyal fan base of viewers from all ages and around the world.

These shows had wonderful animators, writers, directors, and other staff. Eventually, these shows were cancelled after several successful seasons, and fans bid a fond farewell to a job well done. They were satisfied that the stories had been told and they could let go of the characters they had loved.

But on January 24th, 2006, fans of the popular Danny Phantom show were shocked to learn that the show had been cancelled. This announcement came only a week after the thirty-fourth episode had aired, leaving only nineteen remaining in a show that had captured the hearts and minds of millions of viewers.

And despite the horrible news, many fans decided to take it upon themselves to try and do something about it.

We, the undersigned fans of Danny Phantom, are sending out our sincerest pleas to try and alter this decision.

Although we are well aware that all shows must end sometime, we are not ready to let go of a story that has so much potential, characters that still have more to do, and an all around amazing series that has spawned hundreds of spin-off stories, artwork, and creations from its fans.

We ask you to please reconsider the full cancellation of the series. In television terms, Danny Phantom was relatively new, and had enough support behind it to become a long-running classic. Instead of canceling, allow Danny Phantom to continue for a longer amount of time and episodes. Again, we understand that all good things come to an end…but this show is just too good to come to such a quick and abrupt end.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned Fans of Danny Phantom
