Steve Alford is a horrible basketball coach who obviously has no idea what he is doing. I know several people who have dropped their season tickets because they don't want to go down to Carver and watch their team loose. Winning games against Penn State and Drake is nothing to brag about and something needs to be done immediately. I hate to say it, but myself and many other Hawkeye fans for years find ourselves cheering for the other team in hopes that Alford will get let go. I have been a Hawk fan my entire life and I cringe every time I watch a Men's basketball game lately. Something needs to be done and it needs to be done now that we're nearing yet another end of the season where we won't get into the NCAA tournament. I miss Dr. Tom. He was a damn good coach and we need someone like him back.

I don't think Steve Alford is the right coach for Iowa... If they would of had a better coach I'm sure they would of made it into the tournament this year and a lot farther than they did... It's about time they find the right coach. Or they will be going no where.

Why Dr. Tom is gone still bothers me. He gave Iowa the most exciting basketball teams the state of Iowa has ever seen. Now what do we have? It’s time to say good by, Steve. I don’t even watch Iowa basketball any more. I have become an Indiana and Tenseness fan.

I have stopped watching Iowa basketball the last couple of years. Alford is paid way too much and doesn't get it done. He has got to go.

He was my coach and I can say first-hand that he was the worst coach - EVER. Thank god I'm in the NBA now. I wouldn't even trust him to coach my son's pre-school basketball team let alone the Iowa -motherfuckin Hawkeyes!!! Sincerely Reggie Evans

Steve Alford needs to go. Iowa's record is terrible and he cannot control his players or recruit for shit. Kick him out. Maybe he should coach at Kirkwood
