I think Arsenal should be a fantastic symbol of cosmopolitan London both on and off the pitch. If there is an illegal flag then identify the culprit and sort them out. How would the world cup have looked without all the goodwill represented by flags other than those of the teams playing shown side-by-side
I am in contact with a Jamaican group of Arsenal supporters and they are amazed and appalled that I am banned from displaying their national flag with the Arsenal emblem! Why can't we be proud to show the affection we have from our overseas supporters!!
If we were to wake up some morning and find that everyone was the same race, creed and colour, we would find some other cause for prejudice by noon. Let us fly our flags.

I remember being disgusted with the amount of police and stewards and their behaviour after Wigan had put Arsenal out of the League Cup. That was still at Highbury of course, but it indicates that there is a PC agenda at Arsenal FC. I can sympathise, because our whole country of Scotland is also going that way...

as a season ticket holder i do(did) look out for the flags on home games to see who was in the groung,i do think it is over the top to ban all flags and harsh on the vast majority of fans
Im a gunners fan from Australia and find this ban ludecris. If anyone wants to fly a flag that represents their community then they should. Theres a time and place for politics and Emirates stadium is not either, fly the flag.. fly all flags. Its red and white after all.
Maybe recognition of north cyprus would put an end to all this nonsense.
As a true arsenal fan we should be able to express our passion for the club, i understand the cypriot flag may have been an upset out of line, but us english fans should be able to give our support to our emirates heroes.

It is unacceptable to ban the displaying of flags at any football ground. This game still belongs to the fans regardless of what the corporate money men may think or do. When you are long gone, we will still be here. Keep battling them Gooners. WHUFC
This is one of ther most ridiculous and over the top decisions i have heard off (even in these increasing days of polictical correctness our governemtn have created). This ban needs to be lifted ASAP, and even if it isn't lifted, Arsenal fans should bring flags to the CHarlton home game, which has been designated Flag Day!!

I think that the banning of flags is a ridiculous decision by the club. It is a knee-jerk reaction that smacks of p.c. going mad. I would write to the club but I am still awaiting a reply from them about a letter written on another subject from 22nd Nov.

Being someone who is very proud of their nation it should be your right to fly the flag of your country. In the UK are people made feel that loving your country makes you racist. We can not stand back and allow the PC brigade to stop National flags being in our stadiums.
