Ridiculous. A club that attracts worldwide support banning national flags. Arsenal.com were selling them at one point!! In the match day programmes, the Club has them plastered over the pages, celebrating the various nationalities of the players. Who do they think they are protecting by banning national flags??? Look after the fans, don't alienate them.
My 9 yr old son has his own ST and has been to over 150 games, home and away, Madrid, Paris and to England games home and at the world cup. He is gutted by this - also, our family consists of English, German, Scottish, Canadian, Arab and by marriage Portuguese. people should respect the laws of the land they live in and last I looked, it was a free country in terms of speech as long as it's not derogatory. The fact that a national flag at our famous club comes from a contested region should not bring our club in to disrepute and the only criteria for entry should be a love of football, particularly, our brand of football - I could go on, but too many mouths to feed...

Since when were national flags offensive? Are we just to deny the existance of all nations, outside the newly created nation of Arsenal? I've grown up with there being 193 countries in the world, and not once has a flag offended me. Nor have i felt the need to deny their existance

Freedom of expression does not stop once one enters a football stadium, moreover this move smacks of some jobsworth making it up as he/she goes along. Banning flags is yet another nail in the coffin of the soul of football, perhaps?
You are alienating your fans, the same ones that have been with the club for years. The player currently captaining the club draped a Brazilian flag around him at Highbury. You risk alienating the players too. This is making us look silly.
Another example of the Club not giving a xxxx about it's hardcore fans, and pandering to politically correct over sensitivities, just like they tried at Stamford Brigde with Cashley.
...and also give our stadium some bloody red & white paint inside. Club Level - great, general fans - bare walls. Give us our clock back too and i mean inside the ground.
As an Irish Gooner who regularly attends Arsenal games, its nice to see the global appeal of the united ideals of Arsenal coming together. This is a club of respect, dignity and class but these ideals have been adopted by worldwide Gooners and it would be nice to show the United Nations of Gooners together. There has to be a better way of dealing with the issue that led to this. Your humble Irish Gooner!
Iam a gooner fan who is a Greek Cypriot. I think they should not allow the turkish cypriot flag as it is not know to the un. Bring back the other flags. It represents the support from all around the world. Allow the Turkish flag, Cyprus, St Georges, ect as there are loads of supporters that come from all around the world. we as supports need to stick together. represent the nationalities of our players and of ourselfs.
