This is mad. The PC brigade have gone over the top this time. If anyone is offended by a supporters national flag then its they who are offended who have the problem. I look forward to the Arsenal board reversing their decision.
Another idiotic decision by Arsenal, who seem hell bent on sanitising our match day experience at our beloved club. This is not the opera, this football. Get a grip Arsenal. It's the ordinary fans who are the life blood of our club & we are sick of being treated like idiots.
Terrible decision by the board. All legal national flags should be welcome. There is no place for Xenophobia in football or at Arsenal - just look at our multi-national squad. I'm a proud Irish Gooner that always brings my Irish flag with cannon to games and I love to see all the different national flags in the stadium. Once again the board have shown their contempt for the fans. Disgrace.
I am very surprised at Arsenal taking this stance. I thought the board of such a club would have their finger on the pulse and never come to such a ridiculous conclusion.

Arsenal is in England. I love the tradition and heritage of AFC the greatest club in London, the Capital of England. I used to be proud of my Club and Country, now I am embarassed!
A nonsensical decision Arsenal. To ban the Nation's flag - a flag Millions have died to defend - is utterly contemptuous and disgraceful. Hang your heads in shame.
I have been an Arsenal fan for over 35 years and one thing that Arsenal have always stood up for is their fight against racism .People should be able to be proud of their country and what better way than to show your national flag.Arsenal must change this policy to show that football / Arsenal welcome all nations.
I am a soldier, and a spurs fan, my cousin who is a gooner told me about this and i couldnt believe my ears, what are we fighting for? freedom, freedom to show who you are, not to be afraid, i joined the army to make a difference, i am doing that in lands far away from home, yet it seems in my own country there is a major problem, banning our own flag as well as any other is a statement in itself not a solution, get a spine Arsenal board, not only for my cousin, & his many friends but for all football supporters, you take away the flags, you ask them not to stand, they sing too loudly they get told to quieten down,you give them watered down beer at prices only footballers they pay the wages for can afford, but you gladly take their money week in week out absolutly dispicable!!!!

Just as we all thought the club couldnt do anymore to p..s us off and drive more away it seems theyve pulled out a right blinder! Its not like the flag was even a national flag! Only they wouldnt think to just ask the fan to remove it. Why punish all of us and the fans who travel from abroad spending god knows how much to see the games. We cant let them keep treating us like were theatergoers or at the opera.
This is an absolute joke, just yet another example of political correctness gone mad. They didn't mind cashing in on the world cup by sticking a st. georges cross on thier merchandise. They say that the ban is in place so as not to cause offence to anyone, well they have affended me and judging by the response I am not alone. I also noticed that on the back of the Portsmouth program they hadn't removed the national flags next to players names (which by the way, did not offend me). Maybe we should also ban replica shirts so that we make visitng fans feel uncomfortable! Arsenal is a great football club which I love and always will but they are wrong and need to sort this mess out now.
This is disgusting,this is a breach of human rights and Arsenal fans deserve a lot more respect from the board who are willing to take their money(some fans are paying up to £94 face value) to be treated like dirt,if the Millwall board did that to us at the New Den,you would be guaranteed trouble and fair play for Gooners to stand up and be counted
This is a shocking decision made by Arsenal. A couple of years back people would laugh at you if you told them this would happen in a couple of years, it's just an example of the nanny state our great Country has become. Look this is ridiculous just because different fans find other flags offensive is stupis they should unite in supporting the club its a matter of freedom of speech
There does seem to be a lack of proportionality between the "problem" and Arsenal's solution. If there is one offensive flag, take it down! We need to encourage atmosphere at the new stadium - otherwise it will become a soul-less stadium with no passion.
I do understand the reasons behind Arsenal FC banning flags. However, i feel that the club should probably consider limiting the ban to disputed countries or areas.
As an Irishman living in London and supporting Arsenal for over 30 years,i'm never offended with Red Hand flags and i believe it's time that Arsenal who are SUPPOSED to be a COMMUNITY CLUB to wise up and allow the fans who PAY up to £100 face value per game to express pride in CLUB and COUNTRY,you see it adds an extra lift like you see at either Celtic or Rangers
I fully support this petition, my cousin the creator and all Gooners from every corner of the globe. We were taught by our grandparents to love The Arsenal and our live we continue to do so. This would have to be one decision the club has made that is just not right, right, right.
As a Rangers supporter I am proud to see the Saltire and Union Flag flown at Ibrox. we are a Scottish and British club. Let others, whose origins and values come from beyond these shores critcise us, but loyalty to the land of your infant birth and nurture is no crime.
Iam Greek Cypriot and I sit opposite the "offending" and I don't sit there staring at the flag getting offended, I watch the match. Arsenal are a multicultural club and should welcome all nationalities. The club should rise above external political issues.

i'm a man utd fan and find this an outrage let flags in simply because every club has different nationalitys and im sure that it will help the players to see they are supported etc !!
For a club that boasts so many good players from many nations, it seems ironic that the board have taken this stance. It's PC gone mad! Please reverse this decision and spare us from making us a laughing stock.

I am proud to be a gooner and I am proud to be English. Just like a French gooner is proud of his nationality etc etc.
The club makes a big thing in each programme about the varied nationalities of the team and their individual exploits playing for their country.
I should have the freedom to declare my nationality with pride also and not be subjected to a draconian policitically correct ban!!!!
