It should be compulsory to fly the Union flag at every British stadium when a game is being played. This flag is made up of the foue countries that in turn make up the U.K., namely, Northern Ireland, Wales,Scotland and England. Although we may well be rivals in certain ways, we have all been through a lot of wars to fight for this freedom. Anyone objecting to Any of these flags should be hung and quartered, and if they come from overseas the bits should be posted in a loose sack back to their country of origin
I feel it is quite a blasphemy to not be able to display flags at the, erm, new ground. I mean, what next - keep quiet at all times while the game is on and switch off your mobile phones?
This ban is utter nonsense. It is Political Correctness gone mad. Why can't people show their Patriotism? One question for the board, if England ever Host the World Cup again and they want to use the Emirates as one of the grounds, are you going to ban all national flags for the visiting countries' supporters? I very much doubt it. Come on and wake up. let's be sensible about this.
i am embarresseed to be an arsenal supporter, or an Englishman for that matter. We are in England and we should be able to fly the England flag in every single place we wanted in the UK territory.
All football fans should get behind this - we get this type of nonsense from all sides and we are the lifeblood of the game. To ban even the Union Flag is atonishing - who on Earth could be offended by that at a British Football ground???
When, just when, are sports "officials" going to stop regulating everything the fan loves about attending a game? Next they'll ban all scarves and jerseys and make everyone wear the same color sweater up entrance to the ground.
I am a season ticket holder living in Dublin. I feel immensely proud to fly my tricolour at AG expecialy due to the clubs great Irish players. I think this decision is an insult to myself and others who support the Gunners outside of England!!!!
