Absolutely Shocking!Surely us as fans and Arsenal FC want to show how far we reach as a club. Please don't let narrow minded politics get in the way of our support of the greatest club in the world.
i think its political correcness gone mad, im british i want to celebrate the fact that i am, other cultures are allowed to do it and it doesnt offend me or nething so why should we have to ban our national flag!
This is outragous. We have a sponsor of a national airline and this is ok. We are the laughjing stock of other supporters. It is squashing the club's multi-national support which is one of our club's major unique strong points. Are the club going to stop selling over priced merchandise with the union jack or st george's flag? This decision must be reversed!
Let's have the flags back, what a stupid idea to ban them in the first place, what next, ban fans cheering a goal incase it upsets the other team, we used to be a club that people look up to, but this flag ban is making us a laughing stock. Shame on the idiots who baned them.
A bizarre decision that came out of nowhere and seems to be based on nothing. Please reverse it. If this stadium is going to have any chance of competing with the stadiums in Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Liverpool and Manchester as one of EUrope's premier stadiums, it needs the colour and atmosphere that flags provide. It's bad enough that people are being thrown out for standing up and singing. Arsenal cannot have a stadium completely devoid of atmosphere.
Does the club want any atmosphere left at the club anymore, or just 60 thousend silent paying consumers

I wonder if this move by the club is more about the effect of their policy of allowing large blocks of seats in the 'Westbank' upper being made available to away supporters of foreign teams at Champions League matches. It certainly has caused bad feelings at these seats being denied to Arsenal supporters. Flags are part of the enjoyment of the match and its atmosphere.Flags are not racist or provacative, they are simply an expression of individual Identity. If the Arab Emirates stadium can happily accept advertising for an Isreali holiday company. Then the club and all of us fans should be able to accept the sight of someone else waving a flag. We need to apply a rule here - we can't fly any flag as we'll get the BNP, NF and Nazi flags back. Internationally recognized states by the UN seems to be a good rule to me.
It disappoints me greatly, to think that such a sweeping decision was made by a club in a knee jerk fashion. Take time to consider, and get it right, like you usually do !
We are a multinational club.
So if we want a Tricolore with HENRY on it or a cross of St Geoarge with theo why should'nt we be proud of where they all come from

The club have backed themselsves into a corner with this rule. It will be very difficult to implement across the board. Club and fan reps should sit down and carefully pick through the issue and try to develop a common sense approach.
PC gone mad. If the one flag has angered so many others simply explain to the guy the consequences and don't allow him to display it. Why should we all suffer because of one man?
What if I was a visiting Belorussian, or Swede, or Swiss, or German, or Togolese, or French, or Spanish, or from the Ivory Coast, or Czech, or Dutch........?
Why not just request the individual to put it away ? If they didn't chuck them out. Why ruin a lot of peoples fun and more importantly freedom by the actions of one person. Its things like this that is making going to watch arsenal somethig akin to a night at the opera, only without the singing. You're alienating your fans, I gave up my season ticket after 17 years, 3 years ago because of things like this and I dont regret it for a minute.
We have been sabotaged by 2 political movements. Another example of politics and sport not working. Emirates is a national emblem from the middle east, is that being banned aswell?
I may be an ignorant Yank, but when I visit The Grove I feel I should have the right to wave my colors, to show my "support of origin" to coin a term---if my country is ass-backward so be it, it has nothing to do with my support of Arsenal and I know the club values international support.
I really feel that the solution to the 'problem' was a sledgehammer to crack a nut. What on earth is wrong with fans displaying flags which demonstrate the club's multi-national fan base. I have ethical reasons for disliking one of the advertisers in the stadium but I wouldn't (couldn't?) ask the club to stop them.
Re-instate the flags !!!
Emirates, supported by a country with a profound tradition of supporting people of all faiths it does seem strange that the team they support is distancing themselves of open support of pople from different nationalties.

Ok!!! I've learned that anything deemed a weapon can be confiscated hence flagpoles that makes sense. There appears no logical reason to the banning of flags except possible racist views of the club board members!!! Is this true?
Wot a stupid ban! people should be able to show their countrys flag! if i was swedish n come to support freddie ljungberg i wuld show my sweden flag...same if i was french/spanish/ducth woteva! its just pathetic!
