FEVER LETTER

"I want to let you in on a secret. I'm not who you think I am. In fact, my disguise is so thin, I'm surprised you haven't seen right through me. I'm the girl of your dreams masquerading as your best friend. Sometimes I want to rip off this facade like I did at the Spring Formal, but I can't because you'll get scared and you'll run away again. So I decided that it's better to live with a lie than expose my true feelings.

My dad told me there are two types of girls. The ones you grow out of and the ones you grow into. I really hope I'm the latter. I may not be the one you love today, but I'll let you go for now, hoping one day you'll fly back to me because I think you're worth the wait."

In FEVER, Season 2 of Smallville, Chloe Sullivan declared her hidden, intimate feelings to an unconscious Clark Kent in her INFAMOUS, HEARTFELT FEVER LETTER. In my opinion, this letter FORESHADOWED Chloe and Clark's FUTURE ROMANCE, specifically, "I'll let you go for now, hoping that one day you'll fly back to me, because I think you're worth the wait." Although this scene between CHLARK was heartbreaking, it provided me HOPE that one day Clark would "grow into the girl of his dreams."

In the fifth season finale, I, along with MANY other CHLARKERS and CHLOISIERS, rejoiced when we saw the two of them locked into a heated, passionate kiss and embrace under the iconic Daily Planet logo. Although we were CRUSHED, when we learned that Jimmy Olsen was being brought in as Chloe's love interest, we were still optimistic about CHLARK. The season looked promising in the beginning, and we were all glad to see the beautiful friendship between CHLARK blossoming into something more. Also, we were THRILLED to see him finally begin to embrace his destiny and move on from Lana Lang. However, in LABYRINTH, an episode which should have been the OFFICIAL turning point for CHLARK, we were SHOCKED to discover that Clark still loved Lana, who in my opinion, along with many others, has thwarted Clark from accepting his destiny and embracing his heroism. CLANA cripples Clark, and he gets distracted from helping the world, due to his whinning and moping over Lana. This is NOT very SUPERMAN-LIKE.

In conclusion, this petition was created so that TPTB would deliver on their promise and fulfill the FEVER LETTER. I'm asking ALL CHLARKERS, CHLOISIERS, and LEXANAERS to PLEASE sign this petition. Whether you're a CHLARKER, who just wants to see Chloe and Clark have a fair chance at a real, fun, happy relationship, or you're a CHLOISIER, who believes that Chloe is aka Iconic Lois Lane, who will one day marry SUPERMAN, or you're a LEXANA fan, who is upset to see Lana and Lex's realtionship take a 180 due to Lana's sudden change of heart, it doesn't matter, we can all unite together to save CHLARK/CHLOIS and LEXANA!
