My wholehearted support. I will in fact first check if restaurants offer fois gras on their menus in which case I'll go elsewhere and encourage others to do likewise.
Much like veal, if you eat foie gras you are essentially ingesting a product that can only produced by extreme cruelty. You ingest the stress hormones that the animal produces, and you in turn feed that toxin into your body.
One cannot love or have compassion in ones heart as intelligent human beings by killing, abusing and eating animals. If you are eating dead animals the law of Karma will come back to you and you have to pay the price on this material plane.
Fois gras is an abomination and should be illegal. How can anyone enjoy eating something that has caused so much suffering to produce, it baffles me. People will not boycott a restaurant that does not serve fois gras, just the opposite. THERE IS NO REASON TO CONTINUE SERVING THIS PRODUCT
You dont need to force feed the geese to serve fois gras, it taste even better if its just left to grow naturally and wont cause half the amount of health problems as it does now. That is all besides the fact that it is horribly cruel!
My family and friends have stopped supporting businesses that support using ducks and geese from foi gras farms. As you are aware, foi gras invlolves the force-feeding of animals until the brink of death to produce an expensive delicacy for the few who can afford it. this cruelty has been banned in many countries and in some U.S. We hope that you will listen to us and take heed, because we are dedicated to eating great food and supporting networks businesses that don't involve such blatant inhumane treatment toward animals. We pay attention to our conscience and therefore, we believe it is our duty to not involve ourselves with agencies or businesses that condone such cruel practices. We look forward to your response and pray that you will make necessary modifications in businesses. Besides working as a clinical psychologist, I am also actively involved in animal protection organizations and with lobbyists for animal rights. They will also be receiving this e-mail and any follow-ups that I may receive. -Dr. Fischer
Sentient animals cruelly force-fed grain that could have been better utilised to help humans, so rich people can eat it and get ill - really sensible. I would love to see this ridiculous
The abuse is not acceptable and eating a diseased liver that cannot even support the life of the animal you've murdered for it is disgusting (not to mention unhealthy)
