Jah Cure was convicted of rape solely on the fact that the accuser said that he sounded like the man who allegedly raped her. He was arrested on the roadside a week and a half after the rape occurred because the police stopped him because she had called them and told her to stop Jah Cure's car after dropping off some friends at the airport. Once arrested, the police officer who was the lead detective in the case and also the girl's mom's boyfriend, told Jah Cure that if he gives the family 2 Million dollars, a US passport and a new car, he will make the charges go away. Jah Cure Refused and said that he did not do anything to anyone and he would rather take it to court because he is innocent. Once at trial, it was arranged that one judge make the decision of his freedom. She turned out to be friends with the girl's family and he was convicted. Jah Cure has spent the last 7+ years in jail for a crime that he did not commit. The only thing that would have released him from prison and all charges would have been if there was a rape kit done and a semen sample collected. They said the girl did not go to the doctors so that is why Cure had to do the time. This year 2006, it was discovered that the girl did go to the hospital and had a rape kit performed, but it was hidden by the defense. Obviously, they knew that the semen did not match Jah Cure's and that is why it has been hidden for all of these years. A Harvard Law Attorney and Jamaican Barristers have tracked down the DNA sample but a Jamaican Judge said not to bother testing it. Why do they not want the truth to be told. Jah Cure wants the test but they are saying that his time is almost done and not to bother. What are they hiding? Their actions speak for itself, they are hiding the truth that Jah Cure DID NOT do the crime!!!
