Think this is a free speech campus? Think again.

The administration of the Joe Crowley Student Union has been enforcing an unofficial policy - a policy that does not exist and is not available in printed or electronic form publicly - by removing a student publication from all areas in the JCSU save for designated "Free Speech zones." All student generated material should be available in all areas of a student union. Please join us in petitioning the administration to develop a policy that protects student free speech rights.

The student union is OUR student union, and should reflect what we, the students, are doing.

How is it that a university publication that is made by the students for the students and contains only student contributions is not allowed to be freely distributed in locations where students may actually find it? And how is a university bylaw that only seems to exist in the heads of the administrators can be enforced like this?These kinds of ridiculous policies certainly aren't doing much to convince me to make alumni contributions, that's for sure.

Art made by Nevada Students, who get the honor of having it published, should be available for students who have the honor to view it. This publication needs to be accessable at any venue.
