JUST RECENTLY WHEN I WENT TO SANTORINI I WENT OUT FOR A MEAL AND THE GREEK OWNER OF THE RESTUARANT GOT OUT A WATER SPRAY AND SPRAYED IT INTO THE EYES OF A STRAY CAT. I WAS FURIOUS AND LEFT, I RANG HIM WHEN I GOT BACK TO ENGLAND, HE COULD'T UNDERSTAND WHY I SHOULD CALL TO EXPRESS MY VIEWS FROM ENGLAND!
FOR GOD'S SAKE LET THE DOGS GO TO THEIR NEW LOVING HOMES. I BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN COME BACK AS DOG OR CAT IN YOUR NEXT LIFE AND HOPE THE PERSON THAT STOPPED THEM FROM GOING TO A LOVING HOME COMES BACK AS A DOG OR CAT WHO HAS SUCH A MISERABLE TIME LIVING ON THE STREETS. LOOKING FOR FOOD OR WATER ALL THE TIME LIKE THESE POOR CREATURES.
The attempts to keep these poor animals under Greek authority whenever they have loving homes waiting for them is disgusting. I do not undertand the motives of these people.
The Greek authorities pretend to care about the stray dogs....SHAME ON YOU BUREAUCRATS!!! Let the people who REALLY CARE about the stray dogs, cats and other animals do their job. Instead of persecuting these people, the Greek government should be assisting them, maybe this will improve your image as a better country. Believe me, a lot of animal lovers (and there are many of us) will think twice about visiting your country if you keep up the abuse on the stray animals and the people who try to help them.
as usual a case of ignorance. wanting to cover their guilt and ignorance by not spying thier animals. the greek community in the state of florida has been made aware of the atrocities going on in thier counrty and i rge them to act.
Karagouni needs either a good swift kick in the butt or needs to get her priorities in order. Her time would be better spent in helping these animals find new loving homes instead of thwarting the attempts of concerned persons bent on doing so.

I am appalled at the effort, time and money you spend on attempts to prevent the helping of innocent creatures being "removed" from your country. This admirable cause is being funded by truly warm and wonderful people. Do you not have any crimes to solve or criminals to incarcerate? If you have so much money and time to spend creating problems for innocent creatures, why not try to find a way to put an end war or terrorism? Then maybe your efforts would be APPRECIATED. It appears that your efforts to interfere in the departure of these animals is NOT APPRECIATED. your interference in this animal cause, find something to better the world and let these poor innocent creatures go to an obviolusly better place.
I just don't understand what the problem is and why these dogs have been detained. Greece doesn't want the dogs there apparently, considering the inhumane mess going on there, so why do this? What's the real deal. I think some further investigations need to be instituted into this matter. Is someone expecting bribes or what?
Let the dogs go on to their new homes.

As an owner of three "Graeskehunde " I'm deeply sorry to hear wats going on in Greece and its impossible to think at any thing that could be a reson to stop these 7 dogs -unwanted and bad treated. To "Graeskehunde " : Keep on your good work because it makes sense and becaused it is very much needed ... if have just been two weeks on Chios so I really now what I'm talking about!!!!
As long as the Greek do not treat dogs and other animals in a proper way. They should be glad that people in other countries are willing to take care of them. They ought to change their mentality and learn how to treat animals well.

Freee the dogs. They deserve a better home than the street, and we can give them that here in Denmark. To the Greek authorities : come and see for yuor selves how nice the dogs can live with us in our houses here in Denmark. Here they get love and food everyday. That is a lot more than what you can give them !!!!

www.graeskehunde.dk is a great site that opened my eyes for what is going on in Greece. When december comes, I plan to adopt a dog from Greece though this site. I cannot see why you want to stop the stray dogs and cats to go to a better life, where they are wanted and is going to be loved, insted of being poisend or hanged in their "homeland" because they are unwanted and considered as vermins. If you are so afraid that the animals are going to be used for experiments, then why don't you keep an eye on them when they arrive in Denmark, then you can also see that this projekt is for the health and wellbeing of the animals.
Shame on the politicians in Greece! You should allow these seven poor dogs to go to loving homes in Denmark. I myself am the very proud owner og a greek dog, and the only problem she has is to decide if she wants to have ham or beef for dinner.
I find it very disturbing to see, that the Greek people won't take responsibility for their own stray dogs - and further more try to stop others who want to help the poor animals.
I got one of the greek strays and I *know* that Graeske Hunde is trying to *help* the dogs - nothing else.

A good olde saying in Denmark:you should sweep in front of your own door,before you do infront of others !!!I think that Greece is 3 class contry when it comes to taking care of its own animals,and they should be happy that there are some good and loving pepole in Denmark that would take care of the amimals WHEN THEY DONT !!!!
