That's just horrible to read that stories about those poor 7 dogs who are victims of those greeks " authorities" . Like many already wrote:
Shame on you, Greece! It's unbelievable to see how you just look away and destroy the life of the animals and their owners!!
I will NEVER visit any part of Greece again!!. I'm the owner of a very very happy dog from Chios, she and her sisters, brothers and mother, was left by the highroad, two puppies didn´t survived, but 5 puppies, and the mother came to Denmark, and they are all adopted by families who really loves there new family members - so Shame on You, who saids that they are used for expermitals.!That's not thru.
To the greek politicians;I have been in your country twice and the last time it was a nightmare. A lot of hungry dogs and cats without any home, starving and many of them sick. How can you be so evil and treat them so bad?
And now you won´t give some of them a possibillity to get a good life? It´s absolutly NOT ok. I will never come to you country again before the animals get a better life. It is not a vacation to mee to see all this pain and people around mee think the same. And to poisoning them to get rid of them is disgosting!!
Open your eyes and make Greek a better place to live in
J. Karagouni is discracing Greece and all the Greek people are trying to help and save stray animals. In all these years she has never helped or saved a dog. Her hobby is to cause troubles and difficalties to animal welfare organisations. She should have been sued by the animal welfare organisations long time ago.She is working with the authorities which pick up and decamp stray dogs. She never gave an answer where all these dogs are. Now she is pretending she is worrying about the future of these 7 dogs they have finally found a home in Denmark. The Greek authorities should release at once the 7 dogs and let them fly to Denmark. The dogs are kept illegally and the whole process is against the Greek law.
Oh no, not again!! You treat your strays very badly. Why don't you give them a chance for a better life? What's wrong with this lady??
To the Greek politicians; please look after this animals. Because they will have in Danmark a good and caring home. If you don't anything about this problem, it will exist. So please control the dog-and cat population by neutering this animals. I think that people who said this will have power and/or money for a better life for him or her. I also think that there must have a regulation/law that Greece people care about animals. If they don't, they will be obligated to pay.
I hope you will see, that this organisation will be search caring homes for this dogs.
Sincerely,
Martine Tuyl,
The Netherlands.
As the owner of two former street dogs from Greece, both brought here to Denmark through the unselfish efforts of Græske Hunde, I can only say that I am horrified by the actions of the Greek authorities. My two dogs are much loved pets, as is every single dog from Græske Hunde that I have ever met. I love Greece, but I wish Greek authorities would spend a little less time persecuting animal aid workers on patently absurd grounds, and a lot more time, effort and money on improving conditions for stray dogs and cats and other animals.
Give these dogs a new chance in life!!
Let them go to Denmark to forget the horrible past they had in Greece! All responsible politicians should feel ashamed - how can you behave so childish as a member of the EG?
pls give your strays a chance in an other country where the people care about animals, and will give them a nice life which they deserve!!! pls help them, you have the power so pls help the dogs!
I'm from Greece and I feel ashamed of what happens in my country. I have recently sent a stray puppy to a german family for adoption. I can assure that he has a very happy life in a caring and loving home.
I have two greek dogs and they are very happy to have gotten away from their horrible life at the streets en greece. We have a saying here in Denmark: Thief thinks everybody is stealing!!Think about that, and set our dogs free....
Any adopted living being is always a beloved part to make a famely compleet. Please complete this danes famelies. For these dogs it will make the world a better place. Please send them HOME
Please give these dogs a chance on a happy and healthy life which they could never lead in Greece. Have some compassion and stop lying about the intentions of good people. These dogs are also God's creatures!
Greece you should be ashamed of your shelves!!
I love your country but hate the way you treath animals, thats why ill visit youre country less!
Please change the way you threat the animals en give them a change for a better life.
Why I am not surprised? The Greek authorities do not care about the whereabouts and/or the future of these dogs. The only reason for this action is their hurt pride. Animal welfare is a word that does not exist in Greece. That is quite shameful, considering that Greece is part of the EU and receiving subventions which should be spent on animal welfare. Shame on them!
What are you trying to prove here ? why are you making life so difficult for an organisation who is only trying to help ? Pliz free these dogs rapidly. Thx.
I cannot understand what these people think. Very tired to try and cope with them. Please put pressure on your governements. After all we pretend to be part of E.C...
The Greek people are disgraced by your actions. If you are not prepared to help these poor animals - then just get out of the way and let those who want to help, do their job. You are only a nuisance in the whole equation.
how can many greeks quite happily throw animals in with the rubbish and then on the other hand prevent them a better future with people who genuinly care?
I am the proud owner of a former Greek stray dog who was shipped to Canada with the help of Frontida Zoon (a Greek animal welfare group). I pray that these dogs will also soon make the journey from their miserable lives on the streets to happy lives as spoiled, healthy housepets like my Zeus.
