Last week 2,800 NGO participants gathered at the United Nations ans agreed to a petition to free the women NGO workers abducted and held prisoner in Iraq. We dplore this inhuamne treatment of women whowere going about their humanitarian duty i n Iraq. They must be freed immediately. Au nom de mon organisation, je veux souligner que nous sommes d'accord que Simona, Simona, et Ra’ad et Mahnoaz ne sont pas des ennemis du peuple irakien. Ils sont plutôt au coude à coude avec lui dans leur demande d’une fin immédiate de l’occupation. Nous appelons ceux qui les détiennent à les libérer immédiatement.
Nous appelons également le gouvernement italien à mettre fin immédiatement à sa participation à la coalition menée par les États-Unis. Nous appelons les États-Unis et les pays qui sont encore membres de la coalition à mettre fin à l’occupation.

These four aid workers embody all that is good and positive in the human spirit. However abducted them, and it appears less likely that it was a group with the Iraqi resistence, should look at themselves in the mirror and ask one question: what would I do if these good and giving people where my brothers and sister? Beleive it or not they are. Set them free. The truth about their abduction will come out.
