We need to have an ordinance that will allow us to park like we have been parking in the cul-de-sacs and circle streets. Recently the police have been issuing tickets for illegal parking if our wheels on the right passenger side of the car is not within 18 inches from the curb. This means we have to parrellel park in a circle. It is difficult to move in and out of position and it damages our tires. Also we do not have enough space for all of the home owners to park this way. The transportation code sec. 545.303. does allow for angled parking by city ordinance. SO WE NEED AT LEAST THOSE PEOPLE WHO LIVE ON A CIRCLE STREET IN THE CITY OF ROWLETT OR WHO MAY VISIT A FRIEND WHO LIVES ON A CIRCLE STREET IN ROWLETT. Several of us have lived nearly twenty years at our home and never been cited for the way we park.
