I am shocked by the events of the last few days. Not so much because of the reaction in the Islamic world, it is usual for tyrannical governments to incite hatred towards some perceived 'enemies' to distract attention away from domestic problems. No I am shocked at the total disregard for freedom of the press that has been displayed in the comments of UK & US government officials, the UN, the Council of Europe and such bodies that are supposed to be defending these principles.
I support this petition. Why is it that Muslims can do and say anything against other poeple and religions but are very sensitive about theirs. The Koran calls idolatry worse than carnage and it hurts the sentiments of all Hindus -- should Hindus also indulge in such violence to voice their greivances? The Koran calls Jews and Christians as having corrupted their revelations. The Koran calls all unbelievers as beasts. How about the Muslims respecting sesitivities of other people? While in their country, one has to follow their laws and while they are in others' countries, others have to follow their rules there also. What kind of logic is this? The more the world keeps on giving in the Islamic terrorism the more the world will be terrorized. The world must unite and stand up to such blackmail.
I feel that curtailing freedom of speech based on the slanted concept that one religious icon or figure should be exempt from being characatured while, historically, no others have, is absolutely rediculous.
Whether you agree or disagree with policies like the war in Iraq or other issues, at least the Western countries have an open debate. The Muslim world has a lot to learn.
I support this petition, in defiance of Islamic tyrrany of belief. Islam will not be respected fully by the western world until it rids itself of the extremist fundamentalists who are highjacking the voice of the Islamic world.

Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge. No Muslim outrage.
Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed. Muslims are outraged.
I support this petition tooth and nail. If the freedom of speech and constitution is to survive then DON'T be bogged down by these militants. Expel them out of your countries. They can't eat oil anyway!!

If we don't fight back, it is only a matter of time before Islamic intolerance and sharia rule keeps making further inroads into society, plunging the world into another Dark Age. All freedom loving countries and people should set aside their differences and fight together on this issue.
This is not a clash of civilization but an existential struggle for civilization.
