I support this petition.I support the Danish people and their right to express themselves as they see fit."Sticks and stones and cartoons" get these savages this mad, imagine how THEY would feel about a video taped beheading of one of their own while onlookers shout praise to a "god"?!I am looking for and will buy Danish products in support.
I support this petition.
United we'll stand - Americans and Danes.
When I hear somebody claiming that Americans are supeficial I'll ask them whether the American boys that died on the Omaha Beach in 1944 were superficial too?
I support this petition. I will NEVER bow before those who would seek to stifle my basic human right of free speech and I will fight to the death to defend that right for myself and my children!
The Muslim world is a hypocrite. Almost every day in Muslim countries crude carricatures of Jews and Christians can be found in newspapers and other publications throughout the Middle East. But criticize their sacred Mohammed, a brutal psychopath in my opinion, and Muslims everywhere start demanding censorship and go into hysterics. No wonder because of crap like this more and more of the non-Muslim world looks upon Islam as a religion for losers, and sore losers at that.
If Muslims really trusted in Allah, they would trust Allah to take revenge for his own glory instead of relying on a bunch of weak humans. If they really believed in Islam, they would trust that people will accept it EVEN IF there is a negative critique of the religion. Therefore: Muslims don't believe in Allah or Islam!
I support this petition. We cannot fail to support our allies rights to national soverignty and their freedoms from coercion by terrorists or bully nations.
As a Christian, there are many things in our open and free society that could offend me. However, I choose not to react with violence. This latest incident of outrage and "offense" by Muslims is once again confirmation that Islam is inherently, and I repeat inherently incompatible with freedom, and will never be reconciled to any free society.
I support this petition.
"First they came for the cartoonists . . ."
It starts with something seemingly small and inconsequential and before you know it, you're at a tipping point. If Western Civilization buckles on this, we will see a flood of complaints and irrational threats that will rival the tsunami and Hurricane Katrina. Look aat the pictures of protesters on the various sites. Stand tall little Denmark. You give us all hope.
I support this petition.
Send the jerks back to theier sand!
They are screwing a civilization several times older than their (which no civilization but barbarism)!
KICK THEIER BUTS DANS!
I support this petition. The Danish people have the right to speak the truth even if it falls on the ears of those who will not hear. Havarti cheese and Tuborg beer for the Superbowl - and a win for the Steelers.
I don't really care that muslims find great offence in cartoons of allah. I am greatly offended by 9/11 and EVERY other damned terrorist attack in the name of allah.
These Muslim protestors are hypocrits, which Islam supposedly rejects. They are upset over entirely innocuous drawings, but when Muslims go and blow themselves up and kill dozens of innocent Muslims at a public place in Iraq, none of them come out on the street, no protests. Human lives, especially Muslim lives, are apparently worth less than some second-rate cartoons. And these protestors also stayed home while the Egyptians broadcast a completely false TV program based on the antisemitic Protocols of the Elders of Zion. These protestors' only goal is to score points in some obscure prestige contest with other Muslims, since no one in the free world could possibly give a damn about these vapid cartoons.
I support this petition. While I believe posting the cartoon was in bad taste and ill advised, I believe in the basic human right to express one's opinion, no matter what that opinion might be. Where are all these protesting Muslims when there press is running pictures of the beheadings of innocent civilians? Where are the Muslim protests aimed at the release of hostages taken by Muslim extreamists? Seems to be something of a double standard at work within the global Muslim community. Freedom of speech is sacred and belongs to Muslim and non-Muslim alike.
We all know it hurts to grow up. This is a lesson in freedom of speach, which apparently hurts many muslims feelings. However, I hope they learn from it we in western civilisations do not accept taboos about religion. One must be able to relativate things.
I support this petition. My request to fellow Christians and Jews -- this war is not just against the Christians or Jews or the West. Islam poses danger to all humanity and civilizations that we know. BY just making it war against the West or Christains or Jews, we are just dividing ourselves. Koran divides the world into two camps -- the believers and the unbelievers. Let us the unbelievers not divide themselves.
I support the petition. I support the right to free speach. I support the right to choose what I want to buy. I am danish and I understand the muslims. It is a hard matter to solve, yes.. we want free speach.. BUT we should also understand and respect other opinions. Just remember.. Free speach goes both ways.. If we choose to disrespect muslims, we surely must expect them to react. At least they are just choosing to boycott our merchandise instead of terror. To sum up - I support free speach, as long as it goes both ways.
I support this petition.
Excellent points from David Bryant, #60 on this list.
That very well chronicles the 'lowlights' and hypocrisy of the cold hearted and cynical 'peaceloving' muslims.
In most part the militant muslims, but muslims, nonetheless.
Don't they all cite the Quran when they commit their evil deeds?
The 'good' book?
And because of a few satirical drawings in a Danish newspaper a major part of the Muslim population around the world erupt in rampant anger.
Ridiculous!
They all react like a non-thinking brainwashed mass of people that can only do what their imam or mufti tells them to do on the Friday prayer.
How poor! How primitive!
I support this petition.
They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. (Benjamin Franklin)
Dear American friends and allies. Thank you for your support. We are many Danes who believe depicting the prophet with bombs was wrong but we cannot accept that anyone curtails our freedom of speech.
Of course the anger directed at Denmark now is only marginally related to the drawings. It is all about punishing us for participating in the liberation of Iraq and a ploy to keep Hamas' victory from the front pages. It is very skillful spin - do not let your Government buy into it. Best regards from Denmark.
Thank you for always being on freedom's side.
A religion should concern itself only with whether its own adherents are going to heaven, not other people. And wouldn't it cast the religion in a better light to demand the excommunication of unrepentent murderers claiming to speak for one's religion than to demand the blood of a picture drawer?
I support this petition because without the freedom of the press and the freedom of speach in general, we live under the thumb of terrany. I'm sometimes offended by things myself- but I just 'get over it'.
DO NOT BACK DOWN- (Like the French paper that fired the editor!)
