I support this petition. My request to fellow Christians and Jews -- this war is not just against the Christians or Jews or the West. Islam poses danger to all humanity and civilizations that we know. BY just making it war against the West or Christains or Jews, we are just dividing ourselves. Koran divides the world into two camps -- the believers and the unbelievers. Let us the unbelievers not divide themselves.

I wonder if the people rioting and burning buildings because they are offended by some cartoons have given any thought to how offensive their "death to the infidels" ranting is to us. I doubt they can see the hypocrisy through the cloud of religious zealotry. I expect they are generally impervious to reason. This does not leave a lot of easy options for those of us who are the target of their insanity, but one option we must never take is capitulation. I condemn the cowardice of the media in my country (Canada) in not reprinting the cartoons as a sign of solidarity with their Danish colleagues. The only way evil can win is if good men & women sit back and do nothing.
One of the items that appears to have gone unnoticed on the Danish cartoon issue is why a number of Muslim countries have specifically chosen Denmark to vent their wrath. To read of the reaction by some Muslim countries one would think that Denmark has sparked a major international crisis. In fact, we need to take a closer look.
Denmark is a very small country with a growing and angry Muslim population. This makes Denmark particularly suscepitble to pressure. It has largely gone unnoticed that Denamrk suffered from its own Muslim riots at the same time cars were being torched in Paris. Recently on the SPIKE television cabal network, a channel watched by millions of Americans, a cartoon was run of the Prophet Muhammad threatening to put a "jihad on the ass of Moses." I had seen this cartoon run earlier and suspect that it has probably run a number of times. This cartoon of Muhammad is far worse than anything that could have been published in a Danish newspaper. Yet, not one word of outrage from any Muslim country. Why aren't the same Muslim countries that are currently threatening Denmark making similar threats against the US? Why aren't they demanding an apology from Geroge W. Bush, or at least the SPIKE channel? More importantly, why doesn't the Danish media point this out and call these countries on the carpet for their selective and hypocritical outrage?
The answer is that Denamrk is small and weak and can therefore be "muscled." Hence, some Islamic leaders probably believe that they have finally found a Western country they can win a victory against. Following 9/11 a Christian leader made openly derogatory remarks about the Prohet Muhammad that received a great deal of attention in the American media. A number of American based websites and book publishers continuously publish derogatory material about Muhammad. Yet, we don't hear so much as a whisper in the form of diplomatic and/or econo
