please try to contact the kidnapper, the goverment will not do any thing, I was in the same sitiuation, my brother got kidnapped. there are a lot of connection inside Iraq and between the Iraqis, ask El-Jalabi to help, the sunni or sheat or kurds to help these innocent people.
Clearly peacemakers were not taken hostage by mistake. what do you have in mind to achieve? outcry perhaps~ not from other peacemakers to you but from other peacemakers to the policy makers of the united states? perhaps not only outcry but critical mass?
In 2002 I was with a CPT delegation in Palestine, and in 2003 with another CPT delegation in Iraq. These are selfless people who work tirelessly to help the oppressed. Whoever is holding these four courageous men must release them and let them continue their work for peace and reconciliation.
I hope that this event does not suceed in confusing or breaking the solidarity of the Anti-war movement.. That is the only political gain this event may achieve and it only benefits the GOP imperialists and multi national corporate interests.
You make the choice friends...be heroes or be evil doers. If you show mercy and compassion by releasing these people along with a good statement.. the anti-war movement will grow double size over night!! If you execute these people..you will be showing that you indeed are serving US interest!
The hostages held are committed to non -violenceand the releif of suffering of all the people in Iraq. Peace Justice and compasion will be werved by releasing them unharmed.
