In a more serious vein, if the abductors of these four peacemakers go ahead with their threatened execution I'm afraid that act would have a major impact on my feeling vis a vis the Iraqi insurgency. Please know that these people are not representatives of their government - rather, they represent the majority of humans on our planet that reject the US and everything they stand for. Please help us rid the world of the American Capitalistic hypocracy and self-righteousness of the American way of life. We do not support them, and prefer to work to help the people of the world. We are the same in spirit - and only in joined forces can we defeat the evil of the U.S. system.

As a person of faith, committed to peace and trusting in the faith, justice and compassion of those who follow the teachings of Islam I ask you to be kind and to free the four peacemakers. Following their love of God they have tried to be signs of peace in a time of war and have been brave and honest in speaking out against the terrible war and occupation in Iraq. I am a Christian who is very fortunate to have many Muslim friends. From them I have learned that Islam is a religion of peace and mercy. Tomorrow is the day when we christians celebrate the birth of Jesus who you honor as a Prophet. What a beautiful sign it would be to free them on this day. It would be an example to the US and others who are holding so many innocent people as detainees that you are waging a just struggle. What a gift to the world you can give. God bless you, you are in my prayers.

The Cleveland Nonviolence Network will be holding a public prayer vigil on the Feast of the Holy Innocents (Dec. 28th )for all the victims of war and terror in the world. The CPT members: Tom Fox, Norman Kember,James Loney and Harmeet Sing Sooden will most especially be in our prayers.
