These 4 CTP workers have dedicated their lives to confronting the lunacy and tradegy of war through putting themselves at great personal risk to find non-violent means to resolve conflict. Ask your own people with whom they have been in contact with and it will become apparant that they wish neither the Iraqi people or the Islam faith any ill. Please forgive our American lifestyle of unsustainable selfishness. There are many Westerners who understand the consequences of this lifestyle and are repentant. We are learning slowly to live more responsibly. The men you have taken have already transcended those barriers to justice. Please look into your hearts to see and respect the compassionate work they have done to help the oppressed in Iraq.
Please have mercy on these men of peace. They are in Iraq because they hate the war and occupation as much as you do. They only came to serve as humanitarian help to the Iraqi people and to set an example of peaceful action in your country. Please allow your own wishes for peace and your human compassion to dictate your actions. I beg that you allow these peacemakers to live. People of peace are in such short supply in the world, we all, as a world, need them. Thank you.
The anger and outrage at this illegal invasion and war should be directed toward finding peace. The true enemies are those in power who condone the invasion and do nothing to assist the innocents who are caught up in this. Namaste
Please show the world that you can be part of the solution to this terrible war that has been brought to your people. The release of the CPT members would do more for your cause than anything else you could do right now.
