I understand how angry you feel, and you are trying to find a way to get the occupation to end in your country, but I ask that you please let these people leave who are opposed to the occupation as you are. Thank you.
I am writing to ask that the members of the Christian Peace Team who have been taken into custody be released. They are not spies or in ant other way a threat to your country: they are there only to work toward peace for all and without another agenda. Please Release them now.
Many Americans respect human life and oppose violence for any reason. Many do not believe we should be in Iraq. Please release those who care about all humanity and would not take up arms against an Iraqi OR an American OR any world citizen.
In the name of Allah, who is merciful and compassionate, please release the innocent peace workers who have put their own lives at risk to seek justice and peace.
Their motives are pure and we all need their voices and spirts

The Westerners you have with you are trying to build bridges with people in Iraq, ordinary human bridges, bridges of hope and solidarity and peace. Please don't burn these bridges. Please release them, unharmed.
I am a lnog-time supporter of Christian Peacemaker Teams. I know one of the Baghdad team members. They are working in Iraq because of their love for the Iraqi people.
Have Mercy on the innocent. Those of us who want this to end must work together in a spirit of love and cooperation. These people are needed in the struggle.
No one deserves the horrors of war, ecspecilayy when it is done to the innocent. Realese these four, they have done so much to reveal the truth and save lifes. These are the real hereos we do not hear about.
As-salaam alaikum, my dear brothers. I am a nurse, a peace activist, and a future Christian clergywoman. I know that the God we have in common, Allah, is very grieved by the violence and devastation that the United States government and the governments of its allies have wrought upon the innocent people of Iraq. Please, inshallah, do not add to God's grief by committing violence upon the innocent and godly men, peacemakers all, whom you hold, Jim, Tom, Harmeet and Norman. We are praying and seeking ways to influence our governments to free Iraqi detainees. Please, brothers, do not stain your hands with blood but answer me, answer us, Wa alaikum as-salaam.
I don't know these particular people, but I know other CPT members, including one who has worked in Iraq; and I did indeed hear from them about Abu Ghraib, and other abuses, long before they hit the mainstream media.
