As an ex CPT reservist, I beg you to release CPT captives. They oppose their governments' foreign policies and want the liberation of the Iraqi and Palestinian people.
I opposed war in Iraq. My family opposed war in Iraq. We demonstrated against war in Iraq. These CPT workers opposed wra in Iraq. Only those who make war on Iraq and their supporters will gain from harm to these hostages. Please return them to their work against war.
These activists are not working for the government of the occupying countries, they are selfless individuals working to end the occupation and secure peace for the peoples of Iraq.
I met CPT members in Colombia, and hope for the safety of these Iraqi team members - I do not believe they are parties to the conflict, and they deserve to be freed.
It is understandable that the Iraqi people are angry and frustrated due the American/British invasion and occupation of their land. These 4 people seem to represent the face of peace and the rejection of occupation.
The Koran says do not attack people out of anger. God wants you to find a different way to show your anger. The Iraqi prisoners will not be released if you kill these innocent people.
