It is the very courage of people like the members of CPT that keeps the balance between peacemakers and those displaying violence and aggression in the world. Our support for the hostages and their immediate release from their captures.
As a Muslim Arab-American,I urge you to free the hostage and restore the Muslim and Arab's reputation of an honorable people who believe in peace and justice.
Allah Yahdeekum!
I am not a Christian, but anyone who promotes peace in this fragile existence has my support. Please release the people who promote peace across all religious bounderies.
I am immensely grateful for the work that CPT has been doing in Iraq. A drop in the bucket, perhaps, but nonetheless, I hope, an antidote to the great evil being done by my own country.
I join this appeal as one who also has spoken out against this war since before the beginning of the invasion. I believe that Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld and more have committed war crimes against the people of Iraq. However, the CPT people who you hold should not be harmed because they are the kind of Americans trying the most to stop suffering in Iraq. Their deaths will not accomplish anything of value to the cause of resistance in Iraq.
These are peaceful men who are trying to help your country and your people, and not hurt you in any way. They are against the U.S. invasion. Please let them go.
The gesture of freeing these workers for peace in Iraq, will further the cause of the Iraqi people far more than their deaths ever could. Please let them go.
Please free the four peace activists on the Christian Peacemaker Team who have given so much of themselves in friendship to the people of your country.
