attack the occupation forces and the mercenaries under international laws you are entiteld to it,but please leave in peace the westerners that are there to help you and disagree with their own governements.Does this criminal act relate to the salvador option,to deface the legitimate resistance in front of world opinion?
Please release your hostages--they are peace-loving activists who are trying to help--not hinder-- all Iraqis in their pursuit of a long-lasting peace and self-determination.
I am a Muslim and can understand the daily humiliation the Iraqi's are expereincing. But never in the history an eye for aye has produced peace. The Christian Peacemakers Team is an excellent example of people risking their lives to bring understanding in that part of the world that we care. Please let these Peacemakers go in safety.
Harm to these is harm to those who oppose this war, harm to those who love and respect the Iraqi people, and harm to the cause of peace upon this planet. May they be released!
Let there be justice and mercy for all those who follow the paths of peace and nonviolence. Amnesty now for political prisoners and freedom for all the peace activists!
Please Release Our Friends in Iraq
Four members of Christian Peacemaker Teams were taken this past Saturday, November 26, in Baghdad, Iraq. They are not spies, nor do they work in the service of any government. They are people who have dedicated their lives to fighting against war and have clearly and publicly opposed the invasion and occupation of Iraq. They are people of faith, but they are not missionaries. They have deep respect for the Islamic faith and for the right of Iraqis to self-determination.
Bud
These are innocent people and you know that. I sincerely understand how desperate you are to get your comrades free and to win your cause. But this is not the way to garner sympathy among the peoples of the world.
Thank you for reading this, if indeed you do.
These people are not your enemy nor did they wish for war. They want to help you rebuild what was lost after your country was invaded for no reason. Harming them will not punish the war criminals. Let them help you rebuild; you are owed that, at the very least, for all the damage that was done.
The members of the CPT are the people who first alerted me to the plight of the Palestinians. Executing these people would not only be senseless, but also counterproductive. I hope that you see that there is no shame in releasing these great people.
