This kidnapping undermines the work of those who want to end the war and US occupation. It's the kind of Iraqi resistance that Bush appreciates (in private, of course). Bush needs all the help he can get, even when it's from the so-called resistance.
I know CPT Members who have served in Northern Ireland, South Africa, Colombia, and many other places. I cannot imagine that any of the four people recently kidnapped in Iraq have had any activitiy other than promoting support and understanding with Iraqi people. Please release these CPT members, as they have shown only good will and compassion in your country.

What possible sense, justice or compassion is served by punishing those who speak on behalf of the people of Iraq and against the brutal and unlawful occupation of that country? They have acted in peace and solidarity with the Iraqi people at great personal risk. Please free these good and innocent people for the love of God.
