I don't go to your school, but I'll sign your petition because that is not right. If I'm allowed to wear my costume to work (a very professional place) then you should be allowed to wear it in school. Come up with a compromise, NOTHING should cover your face, and there should be no weapons...
I understand that some people wear inappropriate costumes sometimes, but why not just ban costumes that are innappropriate and make those who break that rule suffer alone, rather than bringing the rest of the school down with them. That is not fair.
This is sad. Where were we when the school board made this decision? I thought we as U.S. citizens had equal rights. we didnt get a say in this, now did we?

Quite frankly its bullshit. We're allowed to wear w/e we want during the rest of the year, so long as it follows the dress code. Why should that become MORE STRICT on Halloween of all days?It doesnt make fu*king sense.

I'm 23, obviously not even a student at your school. I just can't believe that your teachers (or the PTA or whoever) are THIS ridiculous. Fight it out guys. I went to private lutheran school, and we were allowed to dress up. Also, I'm a business woman downtown now, and TRUST ME, as long as you're not with clients or some other reason, everyone dresses up and has fun on halloween. It's so retarded to make high school students have random strict rules just because you get off on controlling people.Why the hell are there only 16 signatures on this from your school???
