Many anime fans like myself have noticed that an increasing number of episodes of the popular anime/manga series Fruits Basket have been and are BEING deleted by YouTube -the one site that a lot of anime fans rely on to watch Fruits Basket.

Fruits Basket is an educational and entertaining anime that's not only funny and heartwarming, it also teaches veiwers about the unbreakable bonds of friendship, love and trust. It's widely popular and it's characters are memorable and sweet. The main protagonist, a sixteen yr. old girl named Tohru Honda, is an orphan who discovers the mysterious Sohma curse. It is kept as a secret and no one outside of the Sohma family knows about its existence (except Tohru). Throughout the series of 26 episodes, Fruits Basket has charmed and captivated people young and old with its quick and amusing humor and valuable lessons about life and forgiveness.

But a new problem is here.

On YouTube, videos of the episodes are being deleted almost as soon as they're uploaded. This doesn't give the viewer much chance to watch the episodes. Funimation has taken the episodes off of YouTube as well as other great anime series for the sake of copyright and to get the sales of the DVD's increased, hoping to gain more money this way. But what they don't realize is that there are people couldn't afford to purchase the DVD's because of various reasons. (I.e. Financial problems, Too expensive, no TV or electronic equptment required to play the DVD's, etc.)

So it turns out that the main source for watching Fruits Basket and other animes has run dry. There are no other places to go to watch our favorite anime because Funimation has taken the episodes off other anime sites as well. So our only option is a petition and to go against what Funimation is doing.

This petition is created for the purpose of bringing back Fruits Basket on YouTube and STOPPING Funimation from taking off the episodes. It is frustrating when there are no other places to go for our Fruits Basket needs. Not everyone is financially lucky enough to afford buying the DVD collection, and it's driving the people who adore the series crazy.

This petition does not apply to JUST Fruits Basket, however. If YOU have been in the situation or even witnessed a video of an anime series that YOU have watched but suddenly isn't on YouTube, then PLEASE sign your signature below. I know that there are others out there like me who are being denied the right to view an anime that they have liked and watched for years just because it was taken off of YouTube for the purpose of copyright, because it is not as if we can possibly STEAL the anime!

We just want our anime back so with this petition, let our voices be heard!
