This is a post in response to the two different arguments being posted on this petition. The first being that school ie. Formal eduction is an absolute necessity to have a "succesful" life and future. The second being "fuck school entirely". I believe that the answer is somewhere in the middle, and is different for every individual. On the subject of formal education, in our current North American idealogy we have been taught to believe that somehow if we do not learn about something entirely irrelevant to everyday life, that we will not be able to function in real life situations. This idea however is entirely nonsensical, asinine and close-minded. The same goes with the idea of "fuck school". So in fact, when it all boils down to it we need to do what is right for ourselves. We need to stop basing our lives on a set of another individuals expectations and to do anything otherwise is in the end only going to be an act of unbeknowing self-declension and hatred. Peacefulness, learn from what others have learnt from.

You guys are morons. If you don't go to school, you don't learn how to function in the real world. Sure, you can learn to flip burgers, ask if you want fries with that, but in the end, it all boils down to the fact that you NEED formal education to do something right. Do you want someone who has never opened a book to run a nuclear power plant, or be the pilot of your transcontinental flight? I know for damn certain that I don't. You all need to grow up and see what is really happening. I am currently a senior in high school myself, but unlike you senseless morons, I understand the need for education. I am sure there are some people that actually have a reason for signing this petition, others are just young kids looking for attention, (read: "Goths" do this a lot) and others, like myself, are just trying to talk some sense into you kids. I am 18, hold a job, go to high school, and have a very active social life, and I still don't "hate school." One more thing before I go: Your arguments will carry a lot more weight if you spell properly, use correct grammer, and base your statements with fact. I learned this in school.
