I support this petition. Developing this energy source should be a Manhattan Project-priority endeavor, because we have seen how the West's dependence on foreign oil has caused us to be powerless in the world and made us accept the rape of Georgia by Russia.
Please, Please support this important research. This could be the next big thing, on the scale of the transistor, electricity and the steam engine. Imagine a solution to the energy crises, interplanetary travel, a tremendous boost to industry and who knows what else!
The Dept. of Defense spends more than this contract every day. While yet unproven, it\'s certainly worth my tax dollars to take his ideas, Polywell Fusion, to the next step!
A big problem in fusion is the damage the neutrons cause which means parts must frequently get replaced so the reactor life may well be quite short. Thus keeping the capital costs of the experiment to 50 times less than ITER may well reduce the maintenance costs of a commercial device by that same fraction.
No more denying us technology that will improve our lives. We need to be investing trillions into infrastructure and research... the powers that be want us to be slaves earning a living to barely be able to live and eat... they don't want to see us in high tech luxury.
