I've had the best nights of my life at the Roadmender. Back in the day Carwash Rocked!!! Need more nights like that.Don't let Northampton county council destroy yet another landmark!!!!

roadmender is the most amazing nightclub for the youth. closing it would mean no where to go for those under 18 so they weill resort to murder and drug taking out of pure boredom. dont close it

In all honesty, most of the people here have no idea on what actually happens at roadmender. Although the fri-up is popular, roadmender has been well known for many years for it's theatrical performances, on top of all of artwork that is there. In my complete opinion Roadmender IS going downhill, this is down to the fact that more alcohol is being brought to the Roadmender and the controllers of the fri-up are being very badly fined etc for what is happening. This means that it is actually all of the youths fault - AGAIN.
This venue is very important as it has been essential to the british music scene and for independant musicians. I wouldn't have gotten to see and support many bands live if it wasn't for this venue.

dude roadmender has started getting really good, with bands such as streetlight minafesto, aquabats and dreadzone, i have considered going alot more now
save roadmender! its being going for way to long to be shut down now, the youth need it and so do others its an awesome place for people of all ages to go and the government will have MANY complaints if they do close it down SAVE ROADMENDER!

RM can not be closed it is a place for social gathering where we youths can have a good time and not be bothered by chavs ect if you close it then we will just all end up on the streets so merhhh.
you cant close down something thats been here for over 100 years...its sacriledge and just another example of how the council arent encouraging teens to go to places rather than hang out on the streets
u close rm, and i'll i'll i'll.......be very very upset, its one of the only places that us kids (cool kids :P) can hang out on a friday night, and no1 wants a bunch of teens muggin old ladies for kicks!
DON'T CLOSE ROADMENDER ... where else are we all gonna go hang out ... its a safe place for us to be and listen to cool music and have fun with mates ... great memories there x
roadmender is like one of the only places us youths have to go to to have some fun. you dont want us hanging around on the streets do you, well keep this place open then.
closing down roadmender is just stupid. I know northants county council is awful with its finances but please, don't get rid of one of the county's best venues.
I think that it is appaling that the council is not in more support of venues like this, attracting a diverse audience from across the region. particularly when Npton has just got University status and is trying to be a City...how can you have a City without an Arts venue???!!!
