It is all to likely that this question will not be an issue in the future.95% of the Children growing up these days ---will ask --whats the big deal ?Fear is what drives some people and judging others - is human nature.Europe has been accepting gays for centuries .... it is only in the USA that this is such a problem.---- So whether the generation of yester-year and yesterday accepts this today or not.The generation of today and tommorrow will vote this in.Fear -- is the only thing delaying what will be.

I support gay marriage , primarily because it gives a loving couple legal existance.1) I have lost someone in 1993 to aids. LeGally the mother flew into town from 4 hours away and took him away. so my lover---was taken away from me. I had no legalexistenceto do anything about it. If gay marriage was legal back then i would know todaywhatever happened to my lover...? Str8ts don't have to worry about these things... do they ??2) My new lover and i have been together for 10 years. One side of this arguement preaches hate the other begs for loveOne side of this argument is hateful and the other begs for their love to be recognised. I wonder how God would judge that? I wish the bible were the pure word of God, for those that believe it is, they should take time to find out how it's been modified to the political agenda of the day e.g. you know where 666 came from? - find out. Perhaps all this hatred is a test to see if we truly understand the meaning of love and are not tempted to hate just because we are told. For or against gay marriage, in the end God will judge us as individuals and so it doesn't matter which side you support, why not live and let live, worry for others only when they are in need and never try to destroy another life through hate or forcing one's belief on another. Yes. My sister and I were raised by my two dads, best parents I could have wished for. I'd love to be at their wedding like they were there at mine, like most relationships they've had their good days and their bad days but they are made for one another. It's a love that's lasted longer than many, in fact most of my friend's parent's marriages. Don't preach it destroys the institution of marrige?! - Get off your soap box, if Britney Spears is allowed to marry under the influence simply having a vagina and her fling having a penis then you can shove that argument. Of course I support it. I'm not even 15 yet, not to mention I'm straight, and I can see clearly through the situation. The problem with most people who are against gay marriage with a passion is that they lack the ability to EMPATHIZE. If the thought of putting yourself in the shoes of a gay man or a lesbian irks, you then think about how you would feel if you were part of an oppressed group. Is feeling that you have a "god-given" right to deprive gays of marriage any different from the segregation of blacks and whites? Is wishing death upon gays and lesbians any different from Hitler wishing death upon Jews? If your reasons are religious, then why would any sort of God create a person who would just be tormented and spit upon all their life? People think that gays have a choice. Maybe it's genetic, maybe it isn't, but I don't think that any person who is a gay or lesbian here today just woke up one morning and decided that they wanted to be gay. I can't concieve of any logical reason why gays and lesbians should not be given the right that any other person is entitled to. Come on, people, think with your heads, not with your Bible.

I thiink this wotld is messed up! Noone should be able to ruin someone else's life b/c of thier opinion! You can not help who you love, and their shouldn't be a law against loving a man or a women even if it is the same sex. You should be able to show and appriciate your love with a marriage!
