the Home Office should look at the facts of the case and not routinely reject applications becuase the applicant is not from a country where it is considered dangerous
I support Geirge Mwangi's petition for his asylum case to be re-considered because having read in detail the events that led to his seeking asylum and the oppression and murder of close relatives in Kenya following his escape I am convinced that he has legitimate concern for the safety of his own life should he return.
Anyone familiar with Georges case and George himself would recognise the fundamental injustice of his position. He deserves not just a safe haven but the opportunity to settle and prosper in the UK. To return him to Kenya would be to sentence him to a life of fear and very possibly a threat to his own life.
He did not come to the UK out of choice but out of necessity and because he believed he would be protected here. As a 'civilised' society it's our duty to protect people from the tyrany that they are forced to flee. He deserves your support.
I'm sorry that you've got no signatures so far despite this being on indymedia. Good luck George with your campaign and I hope you get to stay here. Best wishes to your family too. Heather.
i support mwangi in this because going back home he might be either be beheaded or shot. He seems to be an enemy of both mungiki and authorities, may God hear us.
i hope one day the immigration authority realise people like me and you are not monsters,we are just human being who are in need of protection and they could one day end up to be in the position we are in.
I support George Mwangi's petition to have him to be granted asylum in the UK. He is a fervent human rights activist who continues to inspire others to fight for their rights.
The UK government which claims Britain has a reputation of been compasionate and tolerant should match those words with visible actions otherwise they would be deemed to be mere rhetorics.
I have met George on a number of occasions through his tireless Human Rights work. for what it's worth I believe him to be an honest and compassionate man and would be incredibly suprised if his asylum claim were anything other than completely true. While I am not aware of his domestic situation which may or may not justify granting him a right to live in the UK I can say without hesitation that by allowing him to stay in the UK he is just the sort of ambitious, committed and industrious individual who in time would be a credit to this country as he is already to the country from which regrettably he has been forced to flee.Philip NathanBarrister
Mungiki is a menace killing ruthlessly.Headless bodies are found every day in Kenya.Revenge attack is the order of the day..please spare Mwangi's life and death..It is real..mungiki is ruthless
