On November 12, 2006 an episode of Iron Chef America which featured a culinary battle between Rachael Ray (paired with Mario Batali), and Giada de Laurentiis (paired with Bobby Flay) premiered on The Food Network. The secret ingredient of the battle was cranberries, and while everyone expected the Cordon Bleu trained Giada de Laurentiis to win, culinarily inept Rachael Ray came out on top.

I believe a rematch (sans Mario and Bobby and with more unbiased judges like Jeffrey Steingarten) is in order for several reasons:
*Rachael did very little work during the actual battle. She spent almost 20 minutes stirring a cranberry curd, and the rest working on a pasta dish. Mario did the bulk of the work.
*Rachael and Mario gave the judges cocktails during the battle, something which has never been allowed before in the history of Iron Chef.
*David Evangelista, one of the judges for the battle, has been a personal friend of Rachael for many years.

Rachael Ray did NOT deserve to win... Mrs. de Laurentiis would have blown her out of the water had it not been for Mario Batali doing the majority of the work.

I believe that they should be given a fair chance and i know that Giada will win because she is the chef, and rachael is just a lowly cook.

Giada is clearly superior in her culinary skills and actually cooked in this contest. Plus the cocktails to the judges thing was clearly a bribe. I call shennanigans!

I believe that, had the two ladies battled alone, abided by the Kitchen Staduim rules and had unbiased judges, the results would have been much, much different. Give these ladies a FAIR match!
