I don't particularly enjoy the show. To me I believe that the show is
a white man's tale of what Black Women should be like. However, I LOVE
KESLEY GRAMMER (whatever his name is). I don't watch the show cause I
am unable to relate to some of the views. Expect the episode when the girl
had the baby and she was mad at everyone or something like that. I mean
don't get me wrong some episodes are good. I guess some people can
relate cause the have "girlfriends like that or they wish the world
was like that." Me it is like whatever. No, I not ghetto queen or
have a problem with strong black women, it is just I guess my personalities
do not mix with the characters on the show. But anyways I say all of that
to say this. The only reason I am signing, cause at least they doing
something else to make us look good. So more power to you my sisters. I
believe the best way to defeat an enemy (racist) is to show them up, and
not show out. Keep the peace like that powerful leader did (Martin Luther

Girlfriends is one of the most entertaining, well written, and interesting
programs I have seen in a long time. The character dynamics go beyond
gender and race. But it wonderful to see the diverse backgrounds of
beauiful, intelligent, and intriguing black women and men (how much do we
love William). A DVD set for this series seems like an easy decision. I
and a lot of people I know, would love to get ther series on DVD. |
