discuss in forums Google has decided that their tagline "do no harm" does not apply to the web community by banning the Web Guild from hosting their events at Google and by removing all support of the non-profit organization.

They have done this due to pressure from O’Reilly Media, Inc. that wanted the Web Guild to change the name of their recent event "WebGuild Web 2.0 Conference and Expo". O’Reilly Media, Inc. claims they own the "Web 2.0" name and put enough pressure on Google that they caved and decided to support big business over their users.

Shame on you Google! Reverse your decision, support your users, and allow the Web Guild back on campus.

Please sign the petition that will be presented to Google. Only with your support can we ensure that Google truly does no harm!

1 Brendan M. Google, your decision to ban the WebGuild from hosting events on your Mountain View campus is short sighted and a true indication of your corporate values. So much for do no harm philosophy. Shame on you Google!
