Varese are a shit company. If they really cared about great film music they would've released it by now. Robert Townson doesn't care, he won't even communicate with the fans except when someone falsely signed his name so he could set the record straight. Intrada would be a better company to approach and they would be Intrada. they have much better score releases and CDs which people actually want to buy!!

it takes a real shoddy company to hold back a treasured classic like the goonies deluxe edition, and varese have pissed up a few great soundtrack releases, why they wont release it i dont know. i am lucky enough to own this soundtrack by buying the mp3s from usa but not the complete packaging. we only have the standard cd available with songs that were barely heard in the movie but the deluxe has the real classics we want - the dave grushin score - absolutly beautiful score! why this score isnt available is a mystery, have they lost th recordings or something? ask me. ill send em to ya, u slap and lable on the cd, print a few million covers out and release. simple!!!

For me, as a big fan of the movie and the label, it would be the greatest gift from Varèse Sarabande!
WONDERFUL music - please don't let the master tapes sit in some hollywood vault gradually falling victim to the ravages of time. Pleae give this a release. I'm sure the sales will help Goonies 2 come to fruition... which in turn will bolster interest in this soundtrack ;)
