Oh, it's so good. I really want it. I hate Warner Brothers for not releasing this score. It will sell millions if Varese Sarabande release it as they are a much better record company.
The Goonie's Score is such a beautiful composition. Please release it for all of the fans of the movie's sake. The music has left a timeless mark on me and will forever remind me of childhood innocence and adventure.
I find it absurd that this score has not been released before and I would definitely say it is about time. I guarantee if you do one of your limited edition 3000 runs the score will easily and quickly sell out.
The orchestral score and parts for live performance would be excellent as well! People of our generation have kids that know the film and the music. For multiple generations to hear it live again would be so meaningful.
This music should be released - not locked away in darkness. It is criminal that someone's work, that serves a reminder of a classic is abused in such away!We need this score on CD.....NOW. :o)
The Goonies is one of the most memorable 80's film scores, and we don't want the masters to get more deteriorated or lost forever. Saving this score on CD would be a dream coming true for thousands of fans of this score around the world !
I've been waiting for Grusin's score for The Goonies for years. Varese, I know you can do it. You did it with Stripes and Ghostbusters, now complete your destiny and release one of my favorite 1980's film scores! (If you can tuck the Lauper songs heard in the film on the same disc, I'd be pleased. But Grusin's cues comes first.)
Goonies score is only the begininng of so many more scores that still need to be released to the wanting collector..eg: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Gremlins, Indiana Jones and the last Crusade and of course re-releases: Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Dracula (1979), Cocoon, ,etc. Bring them on!!!
