Considering the success of Goonies related merchandise with an entire new generation of kids who never saw this in the theaters but grew up with the VHS and now the DVD, the release of the score would satisfy a large audience comprised of a wide range of demographics (age wise at least) and make a lot of kids happy. Myself included.
