Please Act NOW: The Village Urgently Needs Your Help To Avoid Major Local Disruption!

A planning application has been submitted to convert a site on Welham Lane, Great Bowden to be used as a site to accommodate trade effluents, recycling, composting and storage for 20 heavy trade vehicles. The site is proposed to open at 5:30am, every morning, seven days a week including bank holidays, housing 89 personnel.
A small number of residents received a letter on October 20th, inviting responses by November 10th. All documents relating to this proposal are available via www.harborough.gov.uk/planning (ref: 09/01253/FUL)

Alarmingly, the company involved, FOCSA, has already moved into the premises and begun operating before any residents were even notified.

The major issues include: smell, air pollution, traffic, vermin, noise and access.

Please lend your support to the campaign by writing a letter and responding via the website.

For any further details regarding this application, please contact local residents Pete Goold on 07830 236824 or Lynn Wilson on 07753 819 306, local councillor Sarah Hill 01858 431 993 or Phil Knowles on 07710 026 392.

A village meeting is being arranged at present for Tues Nov 3rd at 7pm in Great Bowden Church Hall. Please contact the above for more details.
