no, you can be any type of person it doesnt matter. as long as u like the music and understand the meanings you are fine. i'm not goth (i think you mean punk) but i am a hug massive GD fan so it really doesnt matter! just rock on and have fun :)

goth? what the....?!?! 1. Green Day is NOT AT ALL goth. Not even close. 2. Just because you wear eyeliner and all black does not mean your music falls under the goth genre. Gothic artsts can see the real beauty of nature, sometimes the dark side of it. Does Green Day do any of that? Maybe, but I don't think so. 3. I'm not a chav. They suck too. 4.
