Green Day is the most amazing band I listen to. I have been listening to them since Dookie came out in 1994 and they have been my favorite band ever since the first time I heard Basketcase. I don't care what anyone says about them, they will always be MY favorite band no matter what. If you don't like them just keep your opinion to yourself.

dude.. green day just plain out ****ing sucks. their not punk. there pussy wannabe pop ****. I will admit metallica aint as heavy as they used to be. I prefer to listen to anything from kill em all up to the black album. Metallica is one of my favorties. You cant be serious saying green day is better because they just suck. and so do the strokes. Real music is bands like Black sabbath, led zeppelin, Megadeth, Metallica(old skool), and real punk is Sex pistols, dead kennedys and ramones.

I remember the first video I saw by them and it was basketcase. I didn't even know about much music or mtv very well, I can just remember that song at a relatives house and they didn't look like a popular band at all and I ended up with the album insomniac which I got and borrowing dookie which was just pop punk but nearly as good or in calibre to insomniac, no pun intended. I even remember when i was at the record store looking for just greenday and finding a band named green jello or something it was witty. All I can say is these guys were good at one time now they have just become a mainstream blockade influence you can't walk out the door anyday without hearing about their music not literally but you get a point. Greenday I don't like them no more, they used to be ok but everyones all horny over them now and there really is no turning back, especially since they sold out so hard like the way they did, oh well turn up boulevard of broken dreams and hope greenday gets off the radio less rampantly and more influentially.

If they do, I'll just sign back up under a different name. Didnt know that was an album. Haven't really heard much of their stuff any way, as I am more into British Indie rock.
