11This purpose of this petition is to find out how many of GSU's Instructional Design students are interested in taking a media-focused course this Fall. The intent of the course would be to learn and apply multimedia programs, such as Adobe Flash and Captivate, to create learning objects based upon Instructional Design theories and models. This course would also be project-based, meaning that the students would collectively work on a project for a real-world client (apparently Dr. Calandra has a long list of ongoing projects).
We would like to offer this course during Fall semester 2008. The semester long duration will enable us to focus on learning basic features, intermediate design/ coding and the development of learning objects.
What can this course do for you?
1. Increase your skillset, thereby making you a more valuable employee.
2. Give you real world experience in design, development, project management and consulting.
3. Give you an opportunity to apply the theories and skills you have learned.
