I couldn't think of a better use for that area. I hope to see
children and adults skating there by next summer! |

Many other towns and communitites have successfully built skate parks in
order to provide a safe place for kids and adults to skate and be.
Haddonfield prides itself on being a community and family oriented town. We
should support all forms of sporting activites and give people a place
where they can safely learn, practice and grow instead of complaining about
people skating in "illegal" places. |

I think it's importnant to provide sketboarders (of all ages!) with
a safe, legal place to skate. It is a positive thing to have in ANY
community. |

A reasonable and logical request. The growing number of skateboarders
should not be ignored. And the abandoned pool sounds like an excellent
location. |

great idea; use of the old pool location will help reduce the present use
for illicit purposes; better to encourage teen skating than teen dances,
which have far more attendant problems regarding sex, drugs alchohol etc. |

Be sure to come up with a well thought out design. Do not settle for some
prefab park. They can cost more and will become "worn"
quicker than any other type of park. FIGHT for what you want! |

As a skateboarding growing up in Burlington County skateboarding has led to
my involvement with design, painting, and I partially credit skateboarding
for my success in art school...its a healthy outlet for people of all
ages...I've been on a board since 2nd grade and I'm 20 yrs.
old now! I still am best friends with the two kids I started skateboarding
with in 2nd grade...there is something special there |
