Well hello der! My names Soph, and I live near York in yup, u guessed it, jolly old yorkshire!!! anyways, wheneva i go in2 york, there is always masses of chavs- hate em by the way!! -and loadsa goths. -Cant complain too much about them, since i used to be one, which may i make it clear, i am sooo not anymore!! anyways- doesnt it annoy you how you never see them smile?? They're always morbid an well... kinda scary!! I dont slag dem off- mainly incase they do some kinda voodoo shoit on me, but please...

... this is stupid. emotions change like a goths hair color... every few seconds... who cares if one is or isn't happy for the moment.. to all my goths and friends of goths I would like to say... "fuck it all, bye me a cookie"... I am often mistaken for a goth b/c of silly things like my love of black and heavy music.. I AM A HIPPIE.. I just don't like the fashion is all.. love, your fellow American! X3

I do NOT support this petition. What is your plan? Force us into tanning beds and hand out pastel clothing? I'm a goth and it doesn't mean i'm sad. You may not see me smiling but just because I don't have a happy go lucky grin on my face like I have a hamster in my underpants, doesn't mean I'm not happy.

im a goth and im happy when im around my freind so not all goths are depressed and i agree with cemetrey you dont want too go around with a big smile on your face people would think there is something wrong with you if you cant stop smiling like that.

My mother always told me i have a natural face of melancholy, but that doesn't mean i don't smile. I smile when there is a reason to. So i don't walk around with a big stupid grin on my face like i have hamster in my underpants, get over it. I'd rather look Sullen then look like a happy pants moron. P.S. You were never goth if you arn't still one now. I hate posers.

gothic refers to medieval architecture, gaths on the other hand, could be interesting people. theyre are just so dark and morbid sometimes, they could be annoying. people, you gotta admit that at some point in your life you were a gath too.

Yes emos are the best =) but goths do smile... especially when they are drunk. if i were a goth i wouldnt smile much either since people write petitions about them and stereotype them into one big 'depressed' group. every goth is different so they arnt all going to be sad.
