This is RIDICULOUS! Fans will go see Harry Potter movies even if they open on Christmas day! Now, they're really going to make eager fans wait 11 MONTHS when we were only 3 away?!?!?! Idiotic. I don't care what they say about summer releases.

Why should we have to wait 8 extra months because your greedy company forced writers to strike by being so cheap, and you dont have any new material for the summer?, that doesnt mean you can move other movies around when you already told us the release date
I believe that postponing the release will only decrease sales of the movie. The Harry Potter lovers with of course still go but will be angry. The casual fan however may loose interest since it will make two years since the last movie and/or film has been released.

This is completely unacceptable that you have pushed back the Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince for your profit only (and throwing in the reason of after effects of the writer's strike). All they are hoping for is more money. It would not surprise me if they fear falling behind the other big movies of 2008 such as The Dark Knight and Indiana Jones 4 by pushing this to a summer release date. If this petition does nothing, boycott is the next step.
